Cute pictures!

I took this picture of Fufu on Monday when I had CC. She loves little people and she's always so curious when I have CC. So, I put her up on the couch with CC and proceeded to take this picture. As you can tell by her expression, she wasn't very fond of being on the couch. She would have been much happier had I put the baby on the floor for her.

And, here's another picture of Maria. This is one of my favorites of her with her boys. They are such handsome little devils.

Maria

I had the opportunity to spend some time with Maria yesterday. I have been speaking with her Mom who had told me so much about her already but meeting her was a gift. Really!

Maria is a 26 year old single Mother of two boys, ages 4 and 3. On December 27, 2008, she was in a car accident that sent her to the hospital. While she was in the hospital, they examined a lump in her chest that was quickly diagnosed as an aggressive breast cancer. This cancer has moved to Maria's lymph nodes which leaves her in a tremendous amount of pain on a daily basis. She starts a very agressive form of chemotherapy on March 3, 2009. Please pray for Maria and her family. Pray for strength and for complete Earthly healing.

Time to unload

Today is only Tuesday but it seems like it should be Friday. Yesterday was just one of those days. It seemed like my phone was just exploding with phone calls and everyone needed something. Thankfully I was able to meet almost everyone's needs.

I had little CC yesterday for about three hours in the midst of my phone exploding. I love spending time with my babies. I just wish that I had had a little more time to really enjoy her yesterday. One day very soon, sweet princess!

After playing with CC, I had a session with a very sweet young lady. She is such a special person. She deserves her very own blog entry.

I also learned yesterday that my Mom is in the hospital again. Apparently she's bleeding internally but I have yet to be able to speak with anyone that can give me details on what is happening with her. Please keep her in your prayers.

My birdie

I was blessed to be able to spend all day with my little E-ahh Bird. She is such a sweet, smiley bundle of love and she has me totally and completely wrapped around her tiny pinky finger. Her big brother has taught her well.

I had big plans to get some awesome pictures of her while I had her. I picked her up and headed straight to the studio where she fought sleep for a half hour, slept for an hour and then pretty much refused to smile for the camera. I even had my friend, Stacey, come over to help. She really liked Stacey but didn't give her the big grins until she was securely strapped into the carseat and ready to hit the road. After a quick stop, we were off to rest at home. She slept all the way home and woke up smiling from ear to ear. We had a nice long talk about the appropriate times to smile from now on. I think that she understands. At least she says that she does.

I hope that she sleeps well for Dad and Mom tonight. She was knocked out cold when they came to pick her up. She wouldn't even wake up for Mommy when she moved her from the swing to the carseat. I know exactly how she feels. I will sleep well tonight too little birdie!

E-ahh has just a few words for everyone out there in Blog-land...

Hi everyone-

Yes, it's me hiding behind my dress. My Granny, my Mommy and my Aunt Stephie seem to think that these rolls on my legs are cute but they are simply embarrassing! They insist on putting me in this dress to show them off but I refuse to show my face wearing this hideous number!

Photobucket

Oh, yes, now we're talking. This outfit is much more comfy but whats up with this plant on my head??? Really?

Photobucket

I know that this studio is really cool but I'm really quite bored and hungry. Could someone get some food in this mouth and take me home?

Photobucket

Ahhh! Thanks! The plant is off of my head (ah!, who cares if I look like my Grandpa without it!), I'm in this neat bouncy thing that lights up and plays music and there's so much food around here... it's like a buffet! What's not to smile about?

Photobucket

I think that I like hanging out with my Aunt Stephie. I'll have to put her number on speed dial. I know she'll come and rescue me the next time that that brother of mine keeps me up all night.

xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.

What a cutie

I have to say that today has been quite an interesting day! I got my new camera bright and early and ran right out the door. I learned the new controls on the fly and I'm still not 100% comfortable with the camera but I am in love! If you must know, it's the new Canon 50D. After shooting for years with the original Canon Rebel, I thought that it was time to upgrade. Not because my Rebel needed to be replaced... it's still in great condition. I just needed a back up camera and I couldn't think of a better back up than my old Rebel!

I have been trying to get this little cutie into the studio for quite awhile. We finally got her in today and she was the perfect little subject to break in the new camera!

I'm gonna miss this...

I know that many of you have heard the song , You're Gonna Miss This by Trace Adkins. For some reason, the words of that song have been playing through my head all week. I'm not sure why.

I am not "old" compared to many with children the same ages as mine. My husband and I started early but worked very hard to have our family. It dawned on me on Friday that my son is 14 years old. He will graduate from High School in a little over three years. Those three years will be here before I finish this entry. This revelation came as I sat in a conference with his team of teachers. I wasn't dying and neither was he but his life flashed before me. What happened to my little challenge (I have always referred to him as my challenge)? Oh, he's still challenging me but on a different level. Gone are my days of colic, diapers, bouncing babies, and slobbery kisses. I desperately miss those days. Really, I would take sleepless nights, reflux, colic, carseat frustration, the whole gamut. I miss it. That is not where we are in life and it's certainly not the direction that God is leading us in.

As I watch my "big boy" grow into a man, I realize that the last little boy that I watch grow into a man was my brother. If you want to talk about a completely different level of missing, we'll go there. Instead, I am reminded to find more positives in every stage that my children go through, to cherish the time that I have now and to know that there will be a day that I will miss this chaos. It's hard to believe that now with four children, it is definitely loud, annoying and obnoxious chaotic in this house. I find myself looking forward to school days and work but I need to retrain myself because there will be a day that I miss the chaos. Days that I miss having children in the house. Days that I call Kristy or Tammy and ask to take a teenager or two. Days that I look at my children parenting their children and wish that I could just hold them one more time. There will come that day.

Wowzers!

Two entries in one night? Wowzers! That can only mean that my Tiger (my hubby who will now lovingly be referred to as Tiger.. it's an inside joke. You have to be in the inner circle to get it!) is out at baseball practice with the oldest child.

Can you believe that this little rockstar is already 9 months old? Seriously, it seems like I just posted her newborn photos. Before we know it, she'll be turning one. They grow so fast.

Here is sweet little Miss "Z's" 9 month portraits.

I survived!!

I've had no less than five phone calls and/or emails asking if everyone is okay. I'm so sorry that I left you all worrying about my little guy. At least one friend questioned what kind of Mother would be blogging as her little one was suffering from a high fever. It's really a shame that I didn't have time to participate in Not Me Monday because that would have been a great Not Me. Another great Not Me would have been the fact that I drug the poor child into the studio on Monday. What kind of Mother does that?

No worries! I surivived his illness and he is much better too. Not only did I survive his illness but I also survived my Grand Opening Extravagaza! Wow!, was that ever fun. Thanks so much to everyone that came out to support me. I had two returning clients and the rest were brand new.

While I am thanking everyone, I need to give a shout out to the local businesses that support me! Thank you to:
Caring Pediatrics
Little Achievers
Goin' Postal
Duck Duck Goose
Wallabie Kids (no longer in business, sniff)
The Cherry Tree
The Stitchery
You will find links to these businesses in my side bar very soon so keep your eyes open for that!

Here are several of my favorites from the Grand Opening. Enjoy!
I had so much fun with this little angel.

Her Mommy is an angel too. You see where the baby gets her beauty!

This is a dress that both her Mommy and her Grandma wore as babies.

So I made it very vintage looking here. Have fun in several years trying to figure out who this is.

Thanks for allowing me to play with little Miss "T." I hope to play with her again soon!

This cutie was on the move. I had to have a quick shutter with him!

So stinking cute though!

This is his very attentive big sister. She had so many great pictures. She is so cooperative!I look forward to working with this family again soon too!

My Poor Baby Boy

My little buddy can't seem to catch a break this year. If you know him, you know that it takes a lot to get him down. Strep kicked his little booty two weeks ago. He just took his last dose of antibiotics for that yesterday. He came home really whiny today. I didn't think much of it. I thought that he was just tired from being up early this morning. He came in about 30 minutes ago complaining that his eye was hurting. I took one look at him and knew that he was feverish.

My poor little guy had a temp of 103.6. That send Daddy into complete panic. Being Mommy, I know that my guys run high fevers but Daddy is really getting into the hands on parenting now that I am working full time. He doesn't know these things so he went to work with wash cloths and cool water. I administered Ibuprophen and the temp is coming down.

If hearing about it didn't make you feel bad enough, here are some pictures to drive home just how pitiful he's feeling. Daddy just ran out to make sure that we have Tylenol to give in three hours. I hope that this is a short lived virus.

My Baby CC

I can hardly believe that it's been 4 months since this sweet baby girl was born! She is getting so big so fast. I was able to spend some time with her yesterday in between proofing portraits and I had lots of fun with her. She sat in the Jumperoo for the first time and she really loves it!

Aunt Stephie's house is so much fun! She has this Jumperoo and she always has cute hats and headbands to dress me up with. Let me tell you all about it.

Photobucket
See... I can even grab the beads all by myself.

Photobucket
Peek a boo!

Photobucket
Oh, these hats are just adorable, dontcha think?

Photobucket
The headband is awfully sweet too. Excuse me while I cut some teeth.. this drool is just horendous. I could control it a bit if I wanted but a girl has to do what a girl has to do when it comes to wearing all of those stylish outfits that I have hidden upstairs!

Photobucket

My Aunt Stephie talks about this E-ahh bird. She says that we would have lots of fun playing together. I'm not quite sure how I would catch a bird to play with it but my Aunt Stephie assures me that it would be fun. I'm sure that the texture of the feathers would feel good on my itchy gums right about now. So, where is that E-ahh bird?
